The Mud Shaver back in 1985

The Mud Shaver first began operating in downtown Pagosa Springs back in 1985. Originally built as a one-story building with 3 self-service bays, over the years a second story, automatic wash and over-size bay were added. The Automatic Laserwash provides effortless and fast service. The oversize bay was built large enough for big RVs and commercial trucks - the only one of its size in town! The vacuum and shampoo stations offer a full range of services. And recently, we've added credit card and pre-paid cards for even more convenience.

The original founders, Amanda and Duane Breman, began a tradition of friendly service, which we are excited to take to the next level. We're committed to keeping all equipment in top condition, extraordinary customer service and community involvment, and most importantly - providing the best car wash experience in town!

After nearly 25 years of working hard, day in and day out, the orginal mechanical equipment was ready for some tender loving care to bring it back up to optimal operations. Ryan, with a diverse background in all things mechanical, was just the man for the big challenge of restoration. He has done a spectacular job and now Aurora is able manage all the operations with help from a great team.
